BASE CAMP - That's our camp. BC is at about 17,000 feet. We stayed here for 5 days acclimatizing before moving up to ABC. Then we returned for another week to enjoy the benefits of increased oxygen before our final summit push. [EVE 2007-04-08_1]OUR CAMP - The two big blue tents are the kitchen and dining tents. They had 100 climbers, 17 reaching the summit, and a humongous camp that housed the 100 climbers. About an hour walk down the hill from BC, this temporary village is set up by Tibetans wishing to sell goods, food and services to visitors.
