MAN WITH A CALF - NEPAL [2100 NE] I was on the Annapurna Circuit trek when I saw this man with bright colorful clothing chasing a runaway calf. He was not happy. So I followed him through the lens of my camera. He finally caught the calf and picked him up, stomping around to make sure others didn't run away. I kept whispering to myself, "turn around," and then he did for just a second. I clicked, hoping he was in focus and that I got him and the calf before he turned back (this was in the days of using my Nikon FE2 SLR with manual focus). Not until I returned home did I know I captured the moment.NEPAL [2105 NE]MAN ON A ROOFTOP - MENANG, NEPAL [2112 NE] I was ill the night before with a high fever and upset body. While my friends took a hike, I sat around feeling weak but relieved that the cipro was working. In a couple of days we would be heading over the nearly 18,000 foot pass. From the rooftop where we were camping, I heard the rumbling sound of an avalanche and looked over but instead of seeing the avalanche I noticed this man looking at me. I picked up my camera and took his photo as he continued to calmly watch me. In my self-absorbed mind he was thinking, 'That's what you get for drinking the water.'NEPAL [2109 NE]NEPAL [2111 NE]CELEBRATION - KATHMANDU, NEPAL [2106 NE]KATHMANDU - NEPAL [2113 NE]NEPAL [2108 NE]NEPAL [2101 NE]NEPAL [2102 NE]KHUMBU REGION, NEPAL [2500 NE]KATHMANDU, NEPAL [2502 NE]BOY IN TINGIRI, TIBET [EVE 2007-04-05_23]BOY IN TINGIRI, TIBET [EVE 2007-04-05_29]WOMAN IN TINGIRI, TIBET [EVE 2007-04-05_28]TIBETAN YAK HERDER - MOUNT EVEREST, TIBET [EVE 2007-04-16_6O] Nike is the proud sponsor of Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, and this Tibetan yak herder.TIBETAN YAK HERDER - MOUNT EVEREST, TIBET [0325EVE072O]TIBETAN YAK HERDER - MOUNT EVEREST, TIBET [EVE 2007-04-14_5O]
