![MAN WITH A CALF - NEPAL [2100 NE] I was on the Annapurna Circuit trek when I saw this man with bright colorful clothing chasing a runaway calf. I followed him through the lens of my camera. He finally caught the calf and picked him up, stomping around to make sure others didn't run away. He turned around for just a second and I clicked, hoping he was in focus and that I got him and the calf before he turned back (this was in the days of using my Nikon FE2 SLR with manual focus - it's so much easier now with digital!). ![MAN ON A ROOFTOP - MENANG, NEPAL [2112 NE] I was ill the night before with a high fever and upset body. While my friends took a hike, I sat around feeling weak but relieved that the cipro was working. In a couple of days we would be heading over the nearly 18,000 foot pass. From the rooftop where we were camping, I heard the rumbling sound of an avalanche and looked over but instead of seeing the avalanche I noticed this man looking at me.
